[Today in Christian Radio] David Jeremiah said, “I have heard it said—as you have—that if God doesn’t judge America pretty soon, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” Honestly, I do not think I have heard that said before. This statement powerfully conveys God’s patience and love for us while driving home the truth that we are indeed a sinful society. Still, it bothers me to suggest that God—in His perfection—should ever apologize for anything. Additionally it seems notable that as America’s sinfulness does not even touch the atrocities occurring worldwide. It all seems a grand reminder to pray for America and the other nations of the world. Lord, thank You for Your patient love. We pray Your continued mercy on mankind and ask that You would open the eyes of the people to see their own wickedness. Remind us to pray for the innocent victims of the wickedness of others.Give us the ability to await Your return with holy patience. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
