“It’s a sin to scream at a woman,” said Dr. Gary Chapman on a radio program that aired today. This bold statement seems profound because this is not a typical Sunday sermon. Many of us treat strangers more kindly than our own household. Nearly all of us are guilty of screaming at our spouses or children in situations that could never be justified as righteous anger. Lord, I pray we would treat our family members more courteously than we would treat our friends, coworkers, or fellow church-goers. Give us strength to battle unrighteous anger, wisdom to handle situations without losing control, and humility to apologize when we mess up. Thank You, Jesus, for hearing our prayer. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
